WATUNDE: THE LOVELY ANANDA MEDITATION RETREAT OUTSIDE OF PUNE, MARCH 15TH --

After Pune, Watunde: I had been here in 2020, but it was even more enjoyable this time. I got in some good hiking, communed with nature and lots of cows and buffalos, and just generally enjoyed the peacefulness of the country. I have the idea of returning (after my forced exodus from India) to live, God willing... and my ability to get a volunteer employment visa. (impossible to live in India anymore on a tourist visa... the Indian government is making it real tough on us!!)

Beautiful adolescent Retreat cows! Never seen long-eared ones like this before...so very cute!!

Hiking up the nearby mountain...

Visiting the little temple at the top...

A friendly buffalo comes to pay his respects to the deity!

Adorable, no?!!?

The whole herd follows suit...

Can you tell that I totally adore these guys!??!

Retreat's meditation cave, carved into the mountain...

The front of my humble digs...

Simple yet comfy inside...

A profusion of organic cabbage--and other veggies--being grown at the retreat...
