After Coimbatore, I took a fast train to Bangalore (no more sleeper buses, I vow!!) then a flight back to Goa. I was sorely missing swimming in the ocean, the balmy air... and a more touristic setting where I wouldn't be constantly gawked at like an alien! I had another nice week there, although the locals were burning crops, unfortunately... so I wasn't able to breathe the nice, clean air of my previous visit. I was also sad that my precious puppy, blackie, had disappeared... I would like to believe that some kind soul adopted her.
I swam, relaxed, worked on my blog... but it was lonlier this time without Nina... so I was glad this return visit was only for one week.

Beautiful full moon over palm trees... the epitome of the lovely tropical night!

Not so nice: the polluted, hazy sky of sunrise...

I rented the same bike I had before and rode up a steep hill to visit this church..

Hazy "view" from the top...

Then again, over a lagoon...pretty, yet also disturbing...

On the beach: Camilo's Shack staff show off a sail fish they purchased. Not sure how much it weighed, but I believe it fed 20 plus tourists that day... |
